Since its founding in 1936, Showa Sangyo Group has been engaged in businesses that enrich people’s diets by making full use of wheat, soybeans, canola, corn, rice, and other grains—the bounty of the earth—and processing them into such products as wheat flour, premixes, vegetable oils, sweeteners, and animal feed.
In February 2026, Showa Sangyo Group marked the 90th anniversary of its founding. At this important milestone, looking ahead to our centennial anniversary and beyond, we formulated a new Group Management Philosophy:
“From an individual grain, we grow possibilities and create happiness together.”
Under this new Group Management Philosophy, from a “User-In” perspective and as a group of professionals specializing in grains, we will further enhance our one-stop solution proposals while working to stabilize and improve the efficiency of our core businesses.
At the same time, toward achieving our growth strategy, we will accelerate our initiatives with determination, including expanding our business overseas and pursuing the potential of grain utilization beyond food. By making the most of the technologies and human capital we have accumulated over the years, every employee will work with pride and a willingness to take on challenges. United as one group, we will devote our full efforts to realizing our long-term vision.
I believe that the happiness and growth of each and every employee are the source of our ability to deliver value to customers, provide returns to shareholders, and contribute to society. We aim to be a “good company” where employees can work with peace of mind and vitality, taking on challenges with a sense of purpose and pride; where the results of their efforts are recognized by customers, shareholders, and society; and where these results are returned to our stakeholders and lead to further growth. We will continue striving to contribute to our customers, shareholders, and society.
However, as the social environment continues to change, including due to Japan’s declining population, we must continue to respond flexibly to changes in our operating environment and transform ourselves in order to remain a company that is useful and needed by society.
Aiming to become a one-of-a-kind company, we will create new markets as a Grain Solution Company, while ensuring that we remain committed to protecting the environment that sustains grain production.
We sincerely ask for your continued support and patronage.
